| The Prospectors Trail"
acrylic painting on Sintra, a ten panel multi-dimensional
artwork 12' wide and 9' tall. The painting commemorates the
rugged terrain of the historic Chilkoot Trail used by
prospectors during the 1897-1898 stampede from Skagway, Alaska,
to Canada's Klondike gold fields. The technique of pointillism
employed on Niebrugge's smaller works is modified for this major
commission: larger dots are used so that they are visible from a
distance. |

| "Pioneer Peak" acrylic painting on Sintra, four panels each 18" wide by 46" high. Pictured from left to right; Bob Niebrugge, artist Gail Niebrugge, Kristan Cole, and Brad Cole. The four narrow panels were designed to fit a curved wall above the entry stairway. Niebrugge Studio produced a limited edition print of this beautiful art "Pioneer Peak", using the process of digital stitching to join the four panels together into one image. |

Basin Road" acrylic painting on
canvas 54" x 72" for the lobby of the Juneau Pioneer Home, Alaska.
The art selection committee
asked for a fall scene of Juneau, Alaska. Artist Niebrugge
scouted the few back roads and historic sites in this tiny
community, choosing to paint a location that was different from
the familiar view of the city along the waterfront. Gail
was attracted to this spot on Basin Road by the patterns of
light and shadows. As the painting neared completion, the
artist was not satisfied by the feeling of loneliness given by
the empty road, and wanted to add life and vitality to the
scene. The children walking and biking with their mom were
added to give the painting scale, warmth and happiness.
