During one of my expeditions along the boackroads of the Wrangell-St. Elias region of Alaska, I found this relic stashed in the willows near Town Lake, Chitina. During the dense vegetation of summer it is virtually invisible, but during spring breakup it is proudly exposed in its nest of branches and tangled weeds. This original pen and ink drawing is now available as a mini Giclee print handsomely reproduced on acid free paper using fade resistant dyes, each print is hand signed by the artist Gail Niebrugge.
