The Steller Sea Lion in Alaska, summer on exposed rocky outcroppings in traditional rookeries to breed and pup, and migrate to spend winters in protected areas. They are listed under the Endangered Species Act, but the populations are on the increase since 1980. Adult sea lions a very big, anywhere from 700 pounds to well over a ton, and are very curious and fun to watch. This watercolor painting is reproduced in a mini digital Giclee print using acid free paper and fade resistant inks, each print is hand signed by the artist and matted with acid free silver grey black core mat.
